Mention tires and most armchair pundits will usually mention esoteric trivia that predisposes one tire type or another optimised for some outlandish scenario or function. Bridgestone however have hit on a tire design that is vastly more practical, handles all the usual challenges that Malaysia drivers encounter and tackles the most important factor every driver encounters – their wallet.

The new Bridgestone Ecopia EP300 tires are successors to the prior EP200 with improved sidewalls for better cornering and handling and are designed in such a fashion that it enables users to enjoy enhanced savings of up to 2 litres and about 11.2km extra distance per tank in urban driving conditions. This is on account of the EP300’s treads and overall design which offers low rolling resistance to help enhance fuel efficiency.

The EP300 tires also offer what they call NanoPro-Tech which incorporates a proprietary polymer and silica compound to offer an enhanced wet grip onto surfaces with shorter braking distances even under Malaysia’s usual rainy conditions.
Each Ecopia EP300 tire also has deeper lug depth to offer better durability and increased wear resistance along with an enhanced new tread design that offers a more uniform wear pattern. This means they’ll work longer before needing to be replaced.
The new Bridgestone Ecopia EP300 are available in rim sizes between 15 to 16 inches along with a unique 4 groove tire for 17-inch rims with a total of 13 available sizes with prices ranging from RM180 up to RM450 inclusive of GST and will be available in Asia Pacific markets soon.
