ASUS announces grand League of Legends ROG Champions Cup tournament for Malaysia
Just after the conclusion of the festivities for the launch of their epic liquid-cooled GX700 gaming notebook, Asus announced that they’re holding the Republic of Gamers Champions Cup for the inestimably popular game League of Legends (LoL). If the words MOBA mean anything to you, the Champions Cup is something that’s right up your alley as Asus will be sponsoring a host of lucrative prizes and swag for the taking.
The five-on-five LoL tournament is held in partnership with Garena Malaysia and will run starting from May 14 for the qualifiers all the way to June 25 where the grand finals will take place at the Sunway Pyramid ice skating rink under the spotlight and the harsh gaze of a thousand fans.
There’s a ton of swag to be won with a prize pool worth RM60,000 for the taking including ROG G752VT notebooks, GX1000 gaming mice and, of course, cash.
There’s no age limit though it’s only open to individuals residing in Malaysia and victory is determined by the destruction of the enemy’s Nexus. If you have the cojones and the skill to thump all comers in LoL, there’s only one way to prove it. You can register for the ROG Champions cup here.
