OPPO to showcase Find X Automobili Lamborghini edition at Malaysia launch

It looks like OPPO Malaysia will be offering Malaysians a closer look at the OPPO Find X Automobili Lamborghini edition phone at their upcoming launch on 17 July next week in Malaysia as the brand issued a statement that they will be showcasing an example of the phone at the launch.

This is a rather interesting development as it hints at the possibility that OPPO may be shipping in several examples of the impressively priced Lamborghini emblazoned variant to Malaysia with the possibility that someone with sufficiently deep pockets can purchase the phone. While it is somewhat speculative at the moment, it’s rather unlikely that a brand would go to this much effort to showcase a phone that they wouldn’t be offering for sale.

To recap, the OPPO Find X Automobili Lamborghini edition phone is a juiced up variant that made its debut beside the Find X at the launch in Paris. It has mostly similar hardware but one-ups its mainstream sibling in several areas. It has a carbon-fibre textured finish layered with a glass laminate up top and the Lamborghini symbol, a slightly smaller 3,400mAh battery that has OPPO’s VOOC fast charging tech to juice the phone from dead zero to full in 35 minutes and a humongous 512GB of built-in storage.

Like the stock Find X, both phones share a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, a pop-up front-facing 25-MP selfie camera with a 3D facial recognition system along with a rear dual camera array (16-MP + 20-MP), a Snapdragon 845 processor and 8GB RAM. At the Paris launch, the Lamborghini Find X retailed for a princely sum of 1,669 EUR (about RM7,881) with the stock Find X retailing for 999 EURO (about RM4,632). Pricing for Malaysia has not been revealed yet but all will be revealed at the launch next week. Stay tuned for details!
