Dell Technologies reveals new Latitude 9440 2-in-1 convertible and new commercial solutions
The aftermath of the pandemic has resulted in a new way of working with many adopting a hybrid work style with workers typically encountering a combination of physically being onsite at the office and remotely working from home.
To cater to this new normal, Dell Technologies has rolled out their latest commercial offerings built to meet the needs of the hybrid worker ranging from peripherals to laptops, with the new Latitude 9440 2-in-1 convertible taking pride of place in the new line-up as well as the Precision 7680 laptop. Also making an official appearance is the Dell Ultrasharp 32 U3224KB 6K monitor for power users.

Intended as their premium offering for the corporate elite, the new Dell Latitude 9440 2-in-1 is essentially a 14-inch convertible laptop with a 360-degree hinge and a 14-inch QHD+ touchscreen that combines a host of technologies and features that enable it to be used as a laptop, a display and as a tablet as the situation requires it.
In its base configuration, the Dell Latitude 9440 2-in-1 features a large and luscious 14-inch QHD+ IPS matte display with QHD+ (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) resolution that has a tall 16:10 aspect ratio. Powering the laptop is a13th Gen Intel Core i5-1345U 4.7Ghz processor with vPro running Windows 11 Pro, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, a 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD and Iris XE graphics. This can be upgunned as needed based on enterprise requirements.
Up close, the Dell Latitude 9440 2-in-1 has a host of ergonomic tweaks and several refinements to its design to make it more premium. The chassis itself is hewn with CNC machining to ensure crisp edges across its aluminium chassis which also uses 75% recycled aluminium for enhanced sustainability.
Of note is that the chassis itself is rated for MIL-STD 810H for durability while also featuring a host of robust security features to prevent tampering including a TPM chip, optional fingerprint reader, Dell SafeBIOS and DellSAfeID to prevent more exotic malware or cyberattacks.
Like their prior enterprise offerings the laptop also has their Dell Optimizer tech that uses AI to tweak and enhance performance over the long term and enhanced video conferencing call quality.
The Zero-Lattice keyboard in the Latitude 9440 2-in-1 is as flat as they come but mimics the deep key presses of a normal keyboard for enhanced tactility.
It also comes with a novel Haptic Collaboration Touchpad that has shortcuts to critical functions for Zoom (forward screen, mute, activate camera and comment) emblazoned across the top on top of increased size at about 18% larger than a stock touchpad. Other mod-cons include WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and optional 5G connectivity via an eSIM.

Dell Ultrasharp 32 U3224KB 6K Monitor Specs and Price
In keeping with Dell Technologies’ emphasis on premium hybrid work solutions, the Dell Ultrasharp 32 U3224KB 6K Monitor features a luscious 31.5-inch 6K display (6,144 x 3,456) pixels with IPS Black panel tech for richer and deeper blacks, 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut rendition and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification for superior colour rendition across the board. Colour accuracy aside, the display maxes out at a 60Hz refresh rate which precludes its applications for gaming.
Up top, the U3224KB also features an 8MP 4K HDR webcam that has a CMOS sensor and multi-element lens to keep mugs in focus. The rear hosts a veritable cornucopia of ports including a Thunderbolt 4 port with 140W power delivery including USB-A, USB-C ports, a HDMI 2.1 port and a wired ethernet port too.
Of note is that the display’s integrated stand allows users to tilt, pivot, swivel and adjust the height to taste and power users will appreciate the fact that the display can accept connections from two PC sources for efficient multitasking including options for picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture viewing options.

Dell Precision 7680 Specs and Price
The larger, beefier 16-inch form factor is an acquired taste on account of its size but the revamped Dell Precision 7680 16-inch workstation may be the most compelling proposition yet.
Specifications can be modified to taste but the Precision 7680 can be equipped with up to a 16-inch UHD+ 4K OLED touch display with a 60Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3, up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13950HX processor, up to 64GB DDR5 RAM, up to a 12TB of SSD storage via 3 Gen 4 M.2 slots, optional Nvidia RTX 5000 Ada Generation GPU with 16GB GDDR6 vRAM and a 6-cell battery.
Other mod-cons include a 1080p IR webcam, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and a quartet of 2W speakers. There’s no official price yet or listing for Malaysia but it does appear on the Dell US website at a price point of US$4,118.35 which clocks in at around RM18,354.
