While it looks like a standard issue laptop design, flipping the top lid open reveals their own unique interpretation of two separate hinged 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen displays that can be deployed in a variety of different ways though the most visually impressive is when it’s aligned vertically with the provided foldable kickstand.
The design involves two separate OLED touch displays unlike the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED that we reviewed awhile back that had its own integrated kickstand with larger dimensions and a single folding 17-inch OLED display. Where it differs is that the hinge portion also includes a built-in soundbar.
As you’d likely surmise from the design, it also lacks a physical keyboard though Lenovo bundled in a wireless Bluetooth keyboard that can be used separately on its own or magnetically latched on to the bottom display to turn it much in the fashion of a Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED with a portion of a touchscreen accessible for shortcuts and smaller windowed apps at base of the display.
According to Lenovo, there are six possible transformable form factors by fiddling around with the displays and keyboard. You get the aforementioned laptop mode, tablet and display mode along with a Book mode if you hold it vertically, a tend mode and a scroll mode. If you’re aiming to use it like a giant e-book, it’s rather hefty as books go though at 1.34kg.
Aesthetics and design aside, the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i comes with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1335U processor, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM that’s been soldered in, integrated graphics, a 1TB SSD and an 80Whr battery rated for 10.5 hours of use if you aim to use both displays.
As of now, the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i can be purchased straight off Lenovo Malaysia’s official website at RM9,499 here. At present, there isn’t much that can be customised with the base unit on the website save for adding in additional Microsoft software
