New ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED and S 14 OLED with Intel Core Ultra CPUs launched in Malaysia
ASUS are deploying their latest generation of premium Vivobook series laptops with Intel Core Ultra powered laptops and colour-calibrated OLED displays in Malaysia dubbed the Vivobook S 16 OLED and the Vivobook S 14 OLED with prices that start from RM4,399 and a slated availability date in the country by the end of April 2024.

Both the new ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED and Vivobook S 14 OLED differ primarily on their respective screen and keyboard sizes with hardware otherwise being similar for both versions.
The new ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED and Vivobook S 14 OLED both feature an all-metal chassis, luscious colour-calibrated Lumina OLED displays in 16-inch and 14-inch sizes respectively, pack either Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and Intel Core Ultra 5 125H CPU options with Intel Evo certification as well as Intel Arc integrated graphics.
To keep all the new hardware cool, the new ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED and Vivobook S 14 OLED both feature improved cooling support with a pair of improved heat pipes, a pair of 97-blade IceBlade fans and two air vents for up to 50W CPU TDP.
The new VivoBook S series laptops all also feature a larger ErgoSense touchpad as well as a more refined single-zone white backlit keyboard with comfier scissor key switches that offer 1.7mm key travel and have a dedicated Copilot key to summon AI features on demand. The larger Vivobook S 16 OLED hosts a numeric keypad while the smaller Vivobook S 14 OLED lacks a numeric keypad though it’s also lighter and more compact in the bargain.

The largest and most powerful out of the new Vivobook S series, the new Vivobook S 16 OLED aka model S5606 features a 16-inch 3,200 x 2,000 pixel Lumina OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, a 120Hz refresh rate and an 89% screen-to-body ratio, the aforementioned Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, a 512GB SSD as well as a 75Wh battery charged via a USB-C 90W adapter. This version retails for RM5,299.
A variant of the Vivobook S 16 OLED is also available with otherwise similar specifications but uses an Intel Core Ultra 125H CPU is available for RM4,699.
Vivobook S 14 OLED specs and price
The more compact Vivobook S 14 OLED aka model S5406 features a smaller 14-inch Lumina OLED display with WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) resolution, a full 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut but a slower 60Hz refresh rate with similar 16GB LPPDR5X RAM and 512GB SSD storage options along with a similarly sized 75Wh battery with your choice of either an Intel Core 7 155H variant priced at RM4,999 or an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H variant for RM4,399.
Both the Vivobook S 16 OLED and Vivobook S 14 OLED are both available in either Mist Blue or Black colourways for both processor options.

Early birds who purchase the Vivobook S 16 OLED or Vivobook S 14 OLED will also get a free Sony SRS-XB100 portable wireless speaker worth RM259 while stocks last. If you’re looking at a more premium, more powerful version, there will be a variant for Malaysia slated to arrive later in the year with a massive 1TB SSD though no price or specifics have been released as yet.
