Refreshed Acer Predator Helios 18 AI and Helios 16 AI laptops with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs launched at CES; appear at Asia Pacific Predator League 2025 too
Acer revealed their refreshed AI-enhanced Predator Helios 16 AI, Predator Helios 18 AI as well as their new Helios Neo 16S AI slim gaming laptops at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas and brought samples to showcase at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2025 in Malaysia.
In general, what makes new Predator Helios 16 AI, Helios 18 AI and the new Helios Neo 16 AI gaming laptop unique is the inclusion of up to the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 series laptop GPUs, along with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processors for superior gaming performance.
The new Helios gaming laptops all also feature 6th Gen Aeroblade 3D fans for enhanced cooling capabilities, have fast WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and offer MagKey 4.0 mechanical switches that can be swapped out with several a selection of their own keys to taste.

In terms of hardware, the new Predator Helios 16 AI comes with a 16-inch OLED WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) 240Hz display with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and NVIDIA G-Sync, packs an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, has up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU, up to 64GB RAM, up to a 4TB SSD and has a 90Whr battery in a 2.7kg chassis that’s about 27.71mm thin.
Predator Helios 18 AI Specs
The slightly larger Predator Helios 18 AI stands out on account of an impressive new dual-mode 18-inch Mini LED display that can swap between a 4K resolution with 120Hz refresh rate or a lower resolution 1080p but much smoother 240Hz refresh rate with 100% DCI-P3 and NVIDIA G-Sync.
Like the smaller Helios 16 AI, you get up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU though the Helios 18 AI has options for up to 192GB RAM and up to 6TB SSD storage.
It also has a slightly bigger 99Whr battery and is also substantially heavier at 3.2kg while being 29.55mm thick.
Predator Helios Neo 16S AI Specs
The svelte Predator Helios Neo 16S AI is just 19.9mm thin and weighs just 2.3kg but packs a 16-inch OLED with up to WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) pixels resolution and up to 240Hz refresh rate with support for NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and NVIDIA G-Sync.
It also features up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU, up to 32GB RM and up to 2TB SSD. Keeping the laptop juiced is a 76Whr battery.
Predator Helios 18 AI, Helios 16 AI and Predator Helios Neo 16S AI price and launch date
According to Acer, the Predator Helios 16 AI will debut in the United States this coming June at USD2,399 (about RM10,795) while the Predator Helios 18 AI will debut slightly earlier in May with prices from USD3,000 (about RM13,500_
The Predator Helios Neo 16S AI is slated for an early April launch priced at USD1,700 (about RM7,650). There’s no official dates yet from Acer on when these three laptops will arrive in Malaysia or how much they will cost but we’ll keep you posted.
