Computex 2026 – Revealed: MSI PRO MAX 271UPXW12G display with DarkArmor film for professionals
While it was announced earlier in March this year, MSI has officially showcased their latest MSI PRO MAX series displays intended for MacBook owners centered around the MSI PRO MAX 271UPXW12G display at their booth at Computex 2026.

Also showcased in the MSI PRO MAX series line-up was the PRO MAX 271UPX12G, the PRO MAX 241PHW E14, the PRO MAX 271QPHW E14 and the PRO MAX 271PHW E14.
What are the MSI PRO MAX series displays?
Intended for professionals and content creators on MacBooks, the MSI PRO MAX series displays all utilise 4th Gen QD-OLED panels that offer a dense 166 PPI with DarkArmor film, allowing the panels to offer 40% deeper blacks and more vibrant contrast and richer, deeper colours especially for users requiring a similarly rich viewing experience migrating from Liquid Retina displays on MacBooks. The DarkArmor film panel also provides 2.5x better scratch resistance compared to previous designs.

To ensure exceptional colour accuracy for content creators, the MSI PRO MAX displays are Pantone Validated as well As Pantone SkinTone validated while also retaining a Delta-E ≤ 2 for accurate hues.
Not only has MSI tweaked the hardware, they’ve also included a selection of apps and modes to further enhance its colour fidelity and ease of use – the M-Color mode, M-Sync and the M-Mate app.

The M-Mate App allows for precise control and colour synchronisation to ensure a consistent visual experience from a MacBook to the MSI PRO MAX series display without needing significant tinkering or fiddling about. The M-Color mode ensures colour profiles are consistent across every display while the M-Sync function app lets you finetune settings with a few simple clicks.
Display and apps aside, the MSI PRO MAX series displays offer a seamless single-cable solution with support for 98W and 15W power delivery, allowing users to power their MacBook and a tablet from the display rather than having to go through a complicated snake pit of wiring. That’s not all, the MSI PRO MAX displays also feature 3-device KVMM to manage multiple devices or PIP/PBP to manage multiple streams simultaneously.

Where the various MSI PRO MAX series displays primarily differ is in that only the top of the line PRO MAX271UPXW12G supports the M-Mate, M-Color and M-Sync while other models in the line-up omit one or two of this trifecta of features.

The MSI PRO MAX series monitors are also available in black colourways
One other minor difference is that the majority of the line-up feature 27-inch QD-OLED panels with the notable exception of the more compact MSI PRO MAX 241 PHW E14 that has a slightly smaller 24-inch QD-OLED display with FHD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
