Samsung Galaxy S26 FE announced for Malaysia; prices start from RM2,499

The final and most affordable variant of this year’s Galaxy S26 series phones has finally made its official debut in Malaysia. The successor to last year’s Galaxy S25 FE, the new Galaxy S26 FE offers much of the flagship experience of its larger siblings but at a much lower price point.

In terms of hardware, it doesn’t vary significantly from its predecessor bar the use of the faster Exynos 2500 chipset running Android 17 with One UI 9.0; the Galaxy S25 FE used an Exynos 2400 SoC and had Android 16 with One UI 8.0 at launch. Like other flagships, Samsung is committed to offering 7 years of OS and security updates.

Of note is that Samsung has added their most recent Galaxy AI updates including Now Nudge and Now Brief seen the Galaxy Z Fold8 series and the earlier mainstream Galaxy S26 series phones.

Processor aside, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is slightly larger and thicker while retaining the same design language as its predecessor with a vertically aligned triple camera array on the rear and an otherwise flat front and backplate with rounded corners. The chassis itself is rated for IP68 dust and water resistance.

Up front, you get a 6.7-inch FHD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a stepped 60Hz/120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,900nits peak brightness. On top of the aforementioned Exynos 2500 chipset, the Galaxy S26 FE comes in three possible configurations, all of which use 8GB RAM with your choice of 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage.

The rear comes with a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra wide angle camera and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom with the combined array able to offer up to 8K@30fps video capture which is otherwise unchanged from its predecessor. For selfies and video calls it has a single 12MP camera.

Keeping the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE powered is a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging which is essentially unaltered from its predecessor.

In Malaysia, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE officially retails for RM2,899 for the 128GB version, RM3,299 for the 256GB version and RM4,099 for the 512GB version with your choice of Pistachio, Blueberry and Graphite colourways. 

For a limited time, Samsung is offering an RM100 rebate off the price for Samsung fan members as well as additional rebates for selected bank partners, further paring the price down to RM2,499 for the 128GB version, RM2,799 for the 256GB version and RM3,399 for the 512GB version.
