Acer AEB lauded with 2022 Global ICT Excellence Award

Acer is primarily known for their vast range of consumer laptops but they’re also famous in corporate circles, specifically their Acer e-Enabling Service Business Inc (AEB), their IT services arm, as a purveyor of enterprise grade services too.

To wit, Acer AEB was lauded with the Public/Private Partnership Award of the 2022 World Innovation Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) Global ICT Excellence Awards for their Taiwan i-Registration Platform of Cultural Events project , which is the third consecutive year that AEB has been honoured with the top prize. For the uninitiated, WITSA is a group of ICT associations from 80 countries across the globe.

The Taiwan i-Registration Platform of Cultural Events project was a watershed project that sped up digital transformation, having recruited 26 local operators in Taiwan that include museums, art galleries and more into the system while offering a one-stop service for the public for a host of services. 

Thus far, the project has been operational since 2013 and has had over 20,000 events hosted so far and over 60,000 event transactions made via the platform while over 12,000 culture event proposals have been submitted to date on the platform.
