Gorgeous Acer Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 ultraportables make CES 2023 debut

CES 2023 is where every major tech brand showcases their best and most innovative offerings for the year and Acer has pulled out all the stops with a refreshed Swift line of ultraportables along with the new addition of the Acer Swift Go series that takes portability and svelteness in laptops to new heights while packing in a luscious OLED display.

What is the Acer Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14

The new Acer Swift Go 14 and Acer Swift Go 16 both feature vibrant, eye-safe OLED displays with the former packing a 14-inch 2.8K OLED Panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 2,880 x 1,800 pixels resolution while the latter has a larger 16-inch OLED display with 3.2K (3,200 x x2,000 pixels) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Regardless, all displays for the new Acer Swift Go series have a productivity optimised 16:10 aspect ratio, a generous 90% screen-to-body ratio on account of slim side bezels, have touch capable variants depending on region and are rated for 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut reproduction and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500-certification along with a TUV Rheinland Eyesafe certification.

Under the hood, the Acer Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 come with 13th Gen Intel Core H-series processor options augmented by Intel Movidius VPUs, have Intel Evo verification to ensure fast boot-up times and a superior user experience and feature dual TwinAir fan cooling systems augmented by D6 copper heat pipes and an air-inlet keyboard that vents heat to ensure optimised performance. Storage options for the Acer Swift Go series run up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to a 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.

Additional features for the Acer Swift Go series include a microSD card reader, Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a HDMI 2.1 port as well as PurifiedView and Purified Voice tech to ensure that video and audio calls on the laptops remain crisp and clear both visually and aurally.

How much is the Acer Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14

In terms of pricing, the Acer Swift Go 16 will arrive in the United States in June with prices from USD$800 while the Acer Swift Go 14 will arrive a month earlier in May in the United States at USD$849.99. There’s no word yet on local availability or pricing in Malaysia from Acer but we’ll keep you posted!
