Aqara smart home products now officially available in Malaysia

Renowned brand Aqara and their comprehensive range of eponymous Aqara smart home technologies are now officially available in Malaysia via Hello Smart Sdn Bhd, their authorised distributor and service partner in Malaysia.

Also launched were four new Aqara smart home products in Malaysia that are able to make homes better through the power of tech dubbed the Aqara Magic Switch S1E, the Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2, the Aqara Smart Face Recognition Door Look D200i and the Aqara Lighting Pro Smart Home Solution.

Early adopters who have sought smart home products will be familiar with Aqara as they’ve been unofficially in the market since 2019. With the official arrival of the brand in Malaysia, Aqara smart home product owners can be assured of enhanced customer service and support. 

New Aqara smart home products in Malaysia

For the uninitiated, the Aqara Magic Switch S1E is a smart touch panel that lets homeowners navigate, view and manage a smart home from one central interface. The device features a 4-inch colour display that lets users control a host of connected Aqara smart home devices like smart lights, switches, curtains and selected third-party devices too via their HomeKit wireless button retrofit kit.

The new Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2 was first revealed at CES 2022 and consists of a set of sensors that can detect if a particular door or window is open or closed. When tied into a smart home ecosystem, this sensor can be used to enhance security and reduce wastage of electricity such as accidentally leaving the fridge door open.

The sensors also support Matter natively over Thread and are able to connect to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, samsung SmartThings and more using the Thread Border Router along with their own Aqara Home via the Matter-compatible Aqara Thread Border Router.

Also launched was the Aqara Smart Face Recognition Door Lock D200i that lets you enter and access secured areas with your own mug as well as up to 49 other authorised users by scanning 31,000 points on the face for a verified match.

The device features a built-in infrared camera that allows for usage even at night and has 8 other unlock modes including one-time passwords, a traditional key, Bluetooth, NFC and more. For savvy users looking to class up their home in a smart fashion, the Aqara Lighting Pro range of smart home lighting solutions offer a variety of solutions to suit any home décor ranging from smart LED strips, track lights, spotlights and more.
