ASUS debuts exclusive Artistry with Asus experential workshops
Asus Malaysia today showcased the imaging capabilities of their ZenFone 3 family of smartphones today with a unique experential workshop that demonstrates just what their phones can do. Taking place at the Espresso Lab coffee shop at KLPAC in downtown Kuala Lumpur, the exclusive experiential workshop hosted Master Photographer Peter Tan who gave an in-depth walkthrough on how to get the most out of mobile photography.
Peter has had his work featured commercially worldwide in a host of publications, is a celebrated wedding photographer and is accredited with the MPA United Kingdom. Peter shared inside tips and tricks with invited guests, showing how to get the most out of the imaging capabilities of the Zenfone 3 that features a 16-MP sensor paired with optical image stabilisation and an F/2.0 lens as well as Asus’ Pixelmaster imaging tech that improves low light image quality.
Peter also shared how portable lighting can change the tone and nature of a shot and encouraged users to carry a light source such as a portable LED light to accentuate or complement a shot. He also demonstrated how light and angles can tell a story when taking a photo as well as features on the Zenfone 3 that make it an excellent camphone. In a pinch, the torchlight feature from another smartphone can be used in place of a dedicated light. During the workshop, he showed how to take shots of the ubiquitous coffee cup.
Espresso Lab’s founder, Mr. Leong Hoo-Yin also shared more about his passion about coffee along with how Espresso Lab brews the perfect cuppa. More Artistry with Asus events will take place in future. Stay tuned to Asus’ Facebook page here for more details. For more examples of Peter Tan’s work, swing by his Instagram page here.
