ASUS has been making a name for itself in the enterprise space when they launched their ExpertBook series laptops and PCs last year. They’re looking to take things up a notch as they’ve announced their ExpertBook 2021 series which consists of the ExpertBook B9 B9400 flagship business laptop, the ExpertBook B5 and B1 series laptops.
Here’s how their premier flagship the ASUS ExpertBook B9 B9400 series stack up, what configurations are available for Malaysia and how much they cost.

For Malaysia, ASUS will be issuing the ExpertBook B9 B9400 in only one configuration though it is impressively equipped indeed.
Like its other siblings, the laptop has MIL-STD-810H rated levels of mil spec-grade durability so it’s able to survive a modest drop, shrug off a spill or two off its backlit keyboard and operate in more challenging climes without issue. It also features their patented ErgoLift hinge that is sturdy enough to let it fold flat without issue.
As a testament to superior design, the packaging of the laptop also unfurls to become a laptop stand which is a brilliant idea indeed.
Also designated as the B9400CE-AKC0354R and the successor to last year’s ExpertBook B9 B9450, is hewn from the same ultralight magnesium alloy chassis as its predecessor. ASUS has managed to make the B9 B9400 16% lighter with the lightest model weighing in at 880g while measuring in at just 14.9mm thin. At 880g, the ExpertBook B9 B9450 is currently the world’s lightest 14-inch laptop which is quite a lofty achievement indeed. A variant exists with 24 hour battery life though it’s a wee bit heavier at just 1005g.
As you’d expect for their finest business laptop, the ExpertBook B9 B9400 is also Intel Evo certified which means it has nigh instant start-up, long battery life, fast charging and a host of other perks necessary for power users on the go.
On paper, the ExpertBook B9 B9400 is able to be equipped with a 14-inch Full HD LCD display with a 94% screen-to-body ratio on account of super slim bezels, runs on an Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU, Iris Xe graphics, up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and up to a 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD along with an additional spare SSD bay.
Connectivity is also excellent with a pair of Thunderbolt 4 ports for charging and for 4K displays, a HDMI 2.0b port, a 3.5mm combo audio jack and a single USB 3.2 Type-A port. WiFi 6 comes standard as well.

Other mod-cons include quad-speakers tuned by Harman Kardon and, of course, enterprise grade security with a guaranteed upgrade to the Windows 11 Pro when it rolls along.
On paper, the provided 66Whr battery is capable of up to 17 hours of video playback while being able to charge to 60% in just 39 minutes.
