ASUS launches their svelte ZenPad 3S 10 LTE slate in Malaysia

While there have been a dearth of flagship Android slates of late, Asus is looking to fill that void with their latest entertainment-oriented slate that ticks off everything
that you’d want in a tablet – a crisp display, battery life and good audio.

Boasting aesthetics that won’t look out of place from something crafted by the chaps at Cupertino, the ZenPad 3S 10 LTE is all curves and svelte machined aluminium. Crammed into the casing is a razor sharp and huge 9.7-inch 2,048 x 1,536 pixel display that has a ridiculously slim 5.32mm bezel to effectively offer a generous 78% screen-to-body ratio.

Paired with this is a stereo system beefed up with NXP amplifier tech for better audio quality as well as virtual 7.1-channel surround sound support. Keeping it all powered is an efficient Snapdragon 650 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage along with a SIM card slot for data connectivity.

The ZenPad 3S 10 LTE is also one of their first slates to have a fingerprint reader and also has ZenMotion support which allows for display-based gesture commands even when the touchscreen is off. An 8-MP camera brings up the rear along with a front 5-MP camera up front for selfies.

Keeping it all powered is a 7,800mAh battery that offers about 16 hours of battery life. It also has Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support that offers a full charge in three hours which is pretty darned fast for a battery this big. In Malaysia, the ZenPad 3S 10 LTE will ship only in slate gray with a free folio case for RM1,799.
