Asus VivoBook 13 Slate OLED T3300 detachable announced with slim and gorgeous design
Asus is known for taking the designs of their laptops to new areas where no other manufacturer has gone before and this time around, their newly announced VivoBook 13 Slate OLED T3300 is a detachable laptop dialled to 11.
What is the VivoBook 13 Slate OLED T3300
Revealed at this evening’s live streamed launch, the Asus VivoBook 13 Slate OLED T3300 detachable laptop features a breathtakingly gorgeous 13.3-inch OLED Dolby Vision touchscreen display.
The display has Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1080) pixels and is exceptionally colour accurate, offering a 100% DI-P3 colour gamut coverage, DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification along with an impressive 550 nits peak brightness.
This kind of vibrancy and colour accuracy means that it is fantastic for enjoying content like Netflix movie binges as you can see every movie in its full glory as the director intended. Response times for the VivoBook 13 Slate’s touchscreen display are equally impressive with 0.2ms and TUV Rheinland-certification for eye care which makes it safe for extended viewing experiences.
Also shipping with the VivoBook 13 Slate is what the brand refers to as an Asus Pen 2.0 stylus that has 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, a 266Hz sampling rate and four swappable pen tips that mimic 2H, H, HD and HB pencils for more fidelity when sketching on the display. The stylus charges via USB-C and features an LED indicator on the side to show its present status if its charging, pairing up or running low on juice.
While the display is impressive, the rest of the hardware is more mainstream with the VivoBook Slate featuring a modest Pentium Silver N6000 3.3GHz processor running Windows 11, up to 8GB LPDDR4 RAM and, depending on configuration, either a 128GB eMMC or up to a 256GB SSD.
The rear sports a 13MP camera while the front hosts a 5MP for video calls. Other mod-cons include stereo speakers, WiFi 6 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, a microSD card rear and a 3.5mm combo jack.
Keeping it powered is a 50Wh 3-cell lithium polymer battery via two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports which have display and Power Delivery support. This setup enables it to charge to 60% in just 39 minutes.
The provided detachable keyboard magnetically latches on to the base of the VivoBook 13 Slate and a rear kickstand lets you angle it to a comfortable angle for typing or movie watching duties. The keyboard itself has a large touchpad with 1.44mm key travel, allowing for a full laptop experience. Combined, it makes for a very compact, flat form factor that’s very man-portable and svelte to boot.
Asus VivoBook 13 Slate OLED T3300 availability
The Asus VivoBook 13 Slate OLED T3300 will come in a standard edition in the near future as well as two Artist Editions created in collaboration with renowned artists Steven Harrington and Phillip Colbert with both of the special versions featuring a cover stand, wallpaper, special box, sleeve, keyboard, hard cover case and stickers. The Colbert edition also has an additional pair of limited-edition shoelaces. Both Artist Editions will arrive next year in 2022

For the standard edition of the Asus VivoBook 13 Slate OLED T3300 , it comes with a keyboard, the cover stand and an Asus Pen 2.0 stylus as extras which is basically everything you need to get doodling and working on the go. At launch Asus announced the price to be from US$599 which is about RM2,484.
