New Asus Zenbook 14X OLED UX3404 and Zenbook 14 Flip OLED UP3404 launched in Malaysia
Asus Malaysia has finally kicked off the official launch of their latest Zenbook 14X OLED UX3404 as well as a surprising addition to the line-up – the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED convertible in Malaysia.
What is the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED UP3404
The unusual Zenbook 14 Flip OLED is a convertible laptop with a 360-degree hinge and a 14.2-inch 2.8K touch OLED display that allows it to turn from a laptop to a Windows 11-powered- tablet or display at will. The display itself has a modest 90Hz refresh rate and has a tall 16:10 aspect ratio for web browsing and paperwork while also featuring a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut support with up to 550 nits peak brightness.
Running under the hood is a power efficient Intel Core i5-1340P processor paired with 16GB LPDDR5 4,800MHz RAM and a 512GB SSD along with Iris Xe graphics.
The convertible also has a 1080p webcam up top for video calls and also has a Harman Kardon-tuned speaker system for movie watching and conference calls too. A 75Wh battery keeps it juiced in the filed and recharging it is via a 65W Type-C adaptor. Fortunately, this convertible is relatively light at 1.5kg while being 15.9mm thin.
In terms of availability, the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED is priced at RM5,499 and will only arrive in late March 2023 onwards. For more details on the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED UP3404, check out their official Malaysia website at https://www.asus.com/my/laptops/for-home/zenbook/zenbook-14-flip-oled-up3404/
We’ve previously had an early sample of the ZenBook 14X OLED UX3404 for review that we had the privilege to review ahead of its launch and the laptop itself is a further refinement of their classic ultrabook design.
You get a 14.5-inch 2.8K OLED 120Hz display that’s colour calibrated, either a 13th Gen i9, i7 or i5 processor depending on variant, either 32GB of RAM for the top tier model with an i9 or 16GB for the rest and 1TB or 512GB of storage for the base i5 model.
What makes the Zenbook 14X OLED UX3404 unique is that the top end model with an Intel Core i9 CPU also packs an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card which in tandem with the 32GB of RAM makes it a capable contender for video editing tasks.
Prices start from RM4,999 for the baseline version with an i5-13500H CPU, 16GB RAM, Iris Xe graphics and a 512GB SSD for RM4,999. The midtier version with an i7-13700H and 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD costs RM5,999. The highest end version with the RTX 3050 and an i9-13900H CPU with 32GB RAM costs RM6,999.
