Asus Zenbook DUO UX8407 available for preorder in Malaysia; yours for RM12,999 with free gifts

If you constantly bemoan the lack of screen real estate on a laptop and aren’t bothered to tote around a secondary display, you will love what the new Asus Zenbook DUO aka model UX8407 has to offer that’s now on preorder in Malaysia. Unlike earlier examples, the Asus Zenbook DUO is a vastly more refined design that combines two 14-inch touch displays in vertical orientation along with a detachable keyboard to create a portable workstation.

The hardware for the Zenbook DUO consists of the aforementioned 14-inch 3K (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) OLED touch displays which have 100% DCI-PO3 colour gamut, have Pantone validation and also feature 1,000 nits peak brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate. The displays are also compatible with the Asus Pen stylus that comes bundled with the laptop. To prop up the hefty display, the design has a built-in rear kickstand.

Powering the whole affair is an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor rated for 45W TDP paired with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 2TB SSD along with Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics. To keep it cool, it features dual 97-blade fans.

Connectivity is top-shelf with 802.11be WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 with the laptop featuring a pair of Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, a single USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port and a HDMI 2.1 port. Keeping it powered is a 99Wh battery with 100W charging.
