ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED UX8402 offers dual touch displays and NVIDIA GeForce 3050 Ti for RM8,999
ASUS has launched their latest range of Zenbook series laptops in Malaysia in a grand roadshow at Midvalley mall dubbed the Zenbook Series Grand Launch. Alongside the top of the line ZenBook Pro 16X OLED, they’ve also launched a more refined and powerful dual touch display laptop that is a spiritual successor to the earlier Zenbook Duo 14 UX482 dubbed the ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED UX8402 that adds in a beefy NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU to the mix.
In terms of hardware, the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 Duo OLED UX8402 is a content creator laptop with dual touch displays with a primary 14.5-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED touchscreen that has 100% DCI-P3, Pantone validation, DisplayHDR 550 True Black certification and 550-nit peak brightness.
Perched just beneath it is a 12.7-inch ScreenPad Plus touchscreen which is just a wee bit less brighter with 550-nit peak brightness but retains a similar 100% DCI-P3 and Pantone validation with 2,880 x 864 pixel resolution. The ScreenPad Plus also benefits from ASUS’s new AAS Ultra auto-tilt hinge that slightly raises it for better cooling and ergonomics.
The laptop only comes in one variant for Malaysia with a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H 2.4GHz CPU, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, a 512GB SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti GPU. Combined, the laptop is able to offer up combined 85W TDP and also has a respectable Intel Evo certification to boot. Other mod-cons include fast WiFI 6E, a 1080P webcam, stereo speakers and a76W lithium polymer battery.
