Budget Flash Plus 2 phone hits preorders today in Malaysia at RM599
Most phones these days usually have an unusual launch gimmick to make it stand out from the crowd be it a better camera or phone but the value-centric Flash Plus 2 attempts to do it all by offering quite an array of interesting features at a surprisingly low price tag.
The phablet-sized phone comes with a relatively pleasing finish with a removable backplate made of aluminium. The front comes with a 5.5-inch 1080P 400ppi display. Under the hood, it runs a Helio MediaTek P10 octacore processor that pairs a 1.8GHz quadcore and a 1.0GHz quadcore along with an ARM Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. In terms of storage, it comes in two variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM and another with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.
Of note is that the phone comes with a fingerprint reader, fast charging tech to get the 3,000mAh battery juiced up to 50% in half an hour and two dedicated SIM card bays and a microSD card bay too so you can pop in two SIM cards and an SD card without having to decide between either one.
The rear camera has a 13-MP sensor with a RealTone flash lamp for more nature skin tones while the front 5-MP camera also has an LED flash for better lit selfies. Another interesting addition to the phone is that it comes with an NXP980 power amplification chip for better sound quality be it through the phone’s speakers or through your earbuds.
For now, the 2GB RAM/16GB ROM variant of the Flash Plus 2 is available for preorder at RM599 on Lazada with deiveries starting on 31 May while the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM variant will retail at RM729 though it will be arriving sometime later in June. Saunter on to Lazada if you’re keen here.
