Casetify Impact Case for Galaxy Z Fold6 Review – Improved Foldable Protection
We previously field tested the Casetify Impact cases for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 which offered good protection and some exceptionally attractive looking Japanese fortune cat designs in its line-up.
This time around we got our hands on the improved Casetify Impact case for its successor the Galaxy Z Fold6 which has much of the same protective qualities and some minor improvements to further enhance its durability. Here’s our Casetify Impact case for Galaxy Z Fold6 review where we share if their latest casing is worth what you pay for.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 remains one of the more popular foldables in the market. Despite the Galaxy Z Fold6’s improved durability with the use of Armor Aluminum and Gorilla Glass Victus 2, there’s still the need to protect it from Murphy’s Law, which is where the Casetify Impact case for Galaxy Z Fold6 comes into the picture.
Unfortunately, the Casetify Impact Case for the Galaxy Z Fold5 is differently sized from that used in the Galaxy Z Fold6 and will not fit as the newer Fold6 is slightly slimmer and thinner.
The Casetify Impact case for the Galaxy Z Fold6 neatly snaps onto the front and rear of both halves of the phone with two thin plastic strips that prevent them from slipping away over time. Closer inspection of our Casetify Impact case for Galaxy Z Fold6 review sample also shows a series of rubber strips along the inside to provide a more snug fit with the phone itself and to provide a measure of shock absorption too.
The camera housing on the rear of the case features a slightly raised lip for better protection from drops and when placed face-down on a flat surface. The front portion of the case which wraps around the cover display has a slightly raised lip to protect it from nicks and scratches.
Unlike the version used in the older Galaxy Z Fold5, the improved design here has a slightly higher lip surrounding the cover display to better protect from nicks and mishaps. The base of the case has cutouts for the USB-C port for charging and along the side as well for the power button.
Casetify claims that the case itself is officially rated for drop protection from up to 4 feet in height and also has MIL-STD-810G rated protection. Of note is that the case also supports wireless charging. The case itself is also made of Re/CASETiFY pellets which are derived from recycled phone cases which contributes to its sustainability without compromising its protective capabilities.
The two samples provided for review fit perfectly onto our Galaxy Z Fold6. The printing itself held up well even after months of use and the case itself proved to be relatively slim without adding too much thickness to foldable itself.
Casetify Impact case for Galaxy Z Fold6 review – How does it handle?
After being tested for several months, our Casetify Impact case for Galaxy Z Fold6 review sample held up well. Even with heavy use being roughly plonked both face-up and face-down onto sundry table surfaces, the phone didn’t encounter any nicks or scratches though the case itself did get a few minor scratches over time due to wear and tear.
The added rubber stripes on the inside of the case offered a better, snugger fit for the phone and the deeper lip on the front cover display helped to add a bit of extra peace of mind. However, the narrow strip of plastic over the case facing inwards towards the hinge mechanism remains rather thin and flexible, with a tendency to flex or bend. To address this, Casetify has added an adhesive strip to keep it secure but this may lose its effectiveness over time.
Should you buy the Casetify Impact case for Galaxy Z Fold6?
The Casetify Impact case is a bit on the pricey side at RM329 but it protects from most impacts and comes in a wide variety of designs. While it is slim and confers a significant degree of protection for face-up, face-down and edge-on impacts, the hinge remains unprotected which may be a matter of concern for those prone to dropping their phone.
That quibble aside, it is an otherwise sturdy design and is also issued for the latest Galaxy S25 series and for Apple’s iPhones too with special collaboration designs including one for the recent Squid Game 2 for selected phone models.
