Casetify Impact Case review – Arty personalised tough case for the Galaxy Z Fold5 tested
There’s sadly not many options for personalisation when it comes to smartphone casings and most users have to resign to picking from a limited, predefined set of colourways and ofttimes no art to embellish their casings.
Casetify’s unusual approach aims to resolve that as users can select the art they want on order to create their own aesthetically appealing casing. We got our hands on a pair of their Impact series casings for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 for field testing recently. Here’s our Casetify Impact case review where we share if it is worth the wait and the price.

Table of Contents
We ordered a pair of Casetify Impact case review sample cases for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5. While there’s only one case form factor available, you have a veritable slew of potential art options to choose from ranging from the whimsical to the ethereal. To fully explore these extremes, I got the Lucky Cat case and the pastel hued Twilight Mountains that show a mountainscape at dusk in shades of violet that’s soothing to watch after punching buttons all day at work.
Regardless of whichever design you choose to get printed on your case, the Casetify Impact case for the Galaxy Z Fold5 is still fundamentally the case design that’s made of polycarbonate that is specifically moulded for the phone. On paper, our Casetify Impact Case review sample came in a surprisingly fancy cardboard box with the cases set in trays within it.
Rather than being totally rigid, there’s a slight degree of flex with the polycarbonate used in the casing and according to Casetify, the case itself uses pellets made from older phone cases for better sustainability.
The rear backplate has a raised lip to protect the camera housing and primarily offers a canvas for your selected design. Raised cutouts exist for the power button on the side and the USB-C port at the base along with two moulded buttons that cover the volume rockers.
The front portion of our Casetify Impact Case review sample hosts a cutout for the top and bottom speaker along with raised bezels to protect the main display. Interestingly enough, the design also has two small strips of plastic that connect both the front and rear portions of the case together.
Closer inspection also reveals that the inner portions of the case are lined with strips of rubber at strategic points to ensure a better grip though they’ve also provided a set of adhesive strips for the phone itself if you want added peace of mind.
Also of note with our Casetify Impact Case review sample is that it is rated with a MIL-STD-810G level of protection and has the ability to protect the Galaxy Z Fold5 from drops of up to 4 feet in height which is about waist height. While the front and rear plates of the design adequately protect the front and rear of the phone, there’s no armouring or protection for the hinge portion of the phone which may be a concern if you’re particularly butter fingered.
Over the course of several weeks, our Casetify Impact Case review samples held up well. The raised lip over the front display and the rear camera housing ensured less risk of scratches with the printed portion holding up to heavy daily use without fading or wearing out. The case is also sufficiently grippy that using it won’t inadvertently won’t slip out of your hand.
Even without the optional adhesive strips, our Casetify Impact Case review samples stayed on, also helped in part on account of rubber strips lining the inner portion of the casing with the tiny plastic strip holding both front and rear portions together ensuring that the case doesn’t slip out sideways which is a common problem with this form factor.
Should you buy the Casetify Impact Case?
