Celcom aids Pasir Gudang victims

Connectivity is critical in the postmodern age and Celcom Axiata Berhad today stepped up to the plate to help victims of the Pasir Gudang waste disaster todayby distributing power banks to the victims and offering free WiFi connectivity via their elcom Home Wireless service.

“During this period, Celcom’s network and technical teams are working around-the-clock to ensure connectivity. We want to assure those affected that they will be able to remain connected with their friends and family,” said Idham Nawawi, Chief Executive Officer of Celcom Axiata Berhad.

Over 500 power banks were issued to the victims and Celcom ensured that their Celcom Home Wireless service was running within the disaster relief operation centres at Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru and Hospital Sultan Ismail Johor Bahru.
