Cyberspace gets safer for kids at Digi Digital City exhibition @ Petrosains KLCC
Digi and the Petrosains Discovery Centre today showcased the Digi Digital City @ Petrosains exhibit at KLCC. The whole affair consists of a series of interactive exhibits within Petrosains that offer a fun and educational approach to educating both children and adults on the nasty hazards that befall internet users and how to be safe on the internet.
Created in collaboration with Digi, the Digi Digital City exhibit is the latest milestone in their credo towards empowering society with digital connectivity in a safe, positive fashion. Consisting of some 225 square meters, the Digi Digital City offers interactive exhibits and games that take visitors through a digital journey that helps to identify, educate and overcome digital risks that can potentially befall internet users and how to be a proper digital citizen.
One exhibit shows social archetypes that appear on the Internet such as social butterflies, drama queens, keyboard warriors, trolls, stalker fans and goody two shoes after users answer a short quiz. Another exhibit integrates an interactive Kinect experience that showcases the potential outcome and proper steps to undertake to deal with cyberbullying. Yet another exhibit integrates a series of flip-up panels that educate users on the definition of cyberbullying, cybergrooming, cyberstalking, identity theft and more.
The exhibits are quite an eye opener and offer extensive insights for both children and grown-ups alike. The exhibit is open to the public until the end of the year and can be accessed via Petrosains on Level 4 of KLCC.For more details swing by digi.cybersafe.my.
