Digi debuts two new Internet prepaid call packs with free 4G streaming
Digi today took the wraps off two new prepaid call packs – Digi Prepaid Live and Digi Prepaid Best in a packed press conference in Kuala Lumpur today. The new prepaid packs are designed for prolific consumers of digital content online.
Digi Prepaid Best
The Digi Prepaid Best plan acts as an Internet starter pack for entry level users, offering free basic internet and social messaging use with a free 200MB of daily internet quota for those who use a minimum of RM1 a day to make international calls to Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Myanmar, the Phillipines, Thailand, Vietnam or China. The Digi Prepaid Best pack also allows users to designate up to 20 ‘Kawan’ or friends in local parlance so you can call them at lower call and SMS rates at 6/sen per text. Otherwise it’s 12/sen per text to all networks. You can get in on the Digi Prepaid Best prepaid programme with an RM8 starter pack that offers RM5 preload value that is valid for 30 days. The rates for top-ups for the Digi Prepaid Best plan are delineated below with the bonus 200MB of free data stacking on top of your existing quota.
Digi Prepaid Live
The Digi Prepaid Live pack offers an impressive free 8GB of data per month for music and video streaming on top of any data purchased via top-ups. The free bonus data for the Digi Prepaid Live pack isn’t granted in one lump sum. Instead, you get a stipend of 1GB for video and 1GB for music per week. There’s another caveat as well – the data allocated is valid for a specific range of music and video streaming apps.
Subscribers can also enjoy unlimited calls and texts to three designated ‘Buddyz. Otherwise, non -Buddyz calls are rated at 30 sen/minute. The Prepaid Live plan starts from RM12 for a starter pack with 7-days validity and RM8 of value preloaded. The rates for top-ups are below:
