Digi unleashes tempting Freedom to Internet proposition offering better music, gaming, videos and more

Hot off the announcement that Digi is expanding their network this coming July with the inclusion of the 900MHz spectrum, Digi has rolled out their Freedom to Internet proposition for the good stuff that also incidentally tends to use up data like crazy including all the usual suspects such as video, music and gaming. To wit, the new Freedom to Internet proposition is divided into four different subpackages dubbed Music Freedom, Video Freedom, Gaming Freedom and Roaming Freedom.

In the case of Music Freedom, Digi is rewarding both postpaid and prepaid customers who have been with the company for at least six months with a 5GB monthly music streaming quota for the most popular streaming services that include Spotify, Joox and Smule. Existing users who are on Digi’s 1GB Music Freedom monthly programme will get the automatic 5GB upgrade on the house.

For Video Freedom, customers can opt in for an additional RM5 a month to purchase 5GB of video streaming quota to enjoy video content on Viu. Later on, Digi will add iflix and tonton to the array of applicable streaming services to enjoy the quota on. Alternatively, you can opt for different video streaming packages with RM5 buying you 10GB of data for 24 hours of music streaming. For Digi Prepaid users, RM1 gets you unlimited standard resolution video  viewing for 24 hours at 512kbps. For Digi postpaid customers, RM1 gets users 3GB of high speed data for an hour.

Gamers will appreciate the Gaming Freedom proposition that makes buying in-game items and content for popular games like League of Legends, Dota 2, Counterstrike and FIFA significantly easier. Rather than having to use a credit card or payment card, Digi is now offering the option to pay for content via their Digi accounts. To sweeten the pot, Digi is also adding exclusive in-game items, collectibles and more.

Digi prepaid users can enjoy unlimited access to social sites like Whatsapp for RM5 daily in eight countries or opt for a beefier RM25 three-day package which throws in 30 minutes talk time and 2GB internet data. Digi Postpaid 110 and 150 Infinite customers get a complimentary 5GB data and 60 minutes talk time along with free roaming in 8 different countries – Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Brunei, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. For more on Digi’s Freedom to Internet plans, swing by their official site at digi.my/freedom
