Epson debuts world’s smallest EF-100 3LCD laser projector in Malaysia

Mention a home projector and you’ll likely conjure up images of a behemoth the size of a minibar that needs a trolley to move about but Epson’s spanking new EF-100 3LCD laser projector is not only highly compact – it measures a tiny 21cm across – but highly capable as well with the ability to kick out an image virtually anywhere in the house at up to 150-inches in size.

The Epson EF-100 comes in two different colour variants with an all-white finish designated as the EB-100W and a black with copper trimmed variant designated as the EF-100B. Both are functionally identical save for a different paint job.

In terms of specifications, the EF-100 weighs about 2.7kg and their compact size means that they are extremely portable and versatile with the ability to project on a wall or a ceiling at your whim. As mentioned, the EF-100 kicks out an image up to 150-inches in size at WXGA resolution with 2,000 lumens of brightness and a contrast ratio of 2,500,000:1. Fan noise is kept pleasantly low at 26 – 29dB and content is streamed via a HDMI cable.
