Fujifilm instax WIDE Evo hybrid instant camera now in Malaysia; priced at RM1,798

The new Fujifilm Instax WIDE Evo hybrid instant camera is now available starting from today in Malaysia priced at RM1,798 with a special early bird promotion where every purchase of the camera gets buyers a free case and a 16GB Sandisk MicroSD card while stocks last.

What is the Fujifilm instax WIDE Evo?

For the uninitiated, the Fujifilm instax WIDE Evo hybrid instant camera has a ⅓-inch CMOS sensor with single autofocus and face recognition that is capable of capturing snaps on Fujifilm WIDE series prints which are wider than the standard versions. The camera is also able to record shots digitally onto the modest internal memory (45 shots) and onto microSD cards for later use. Shots from a smartphone can even be piped via Bluetooth to the camera such that it can be used as a photo printer.

Shots are framed on the rear 3.5-inch TFT 460K pixel LCD display and the camera also comes with ten lens effects and ten film effects which can be mixed and matched along with selectable intensities of each effect for a wide array of creative results.

Keeping the Fujifilm instax WIDE Evo juiced is an internal lithium-ion battery rated for about a hundred shots with a full charge needed about 2 to 3 hours. Hardware side, the Fujifilm Instax WIDE Evo hybrid sports a matte grey finish with black trim and a host of analogue controls for a vintage feel including a film dial, lens dial, degree control dial and a quaint print crank.

Alongside the launch of the Fujifilm instax WIDE Evo is a new WIDE format film for Fujifilm Instax cameras that they’ve dubbed as Brushed Metallics that offers unique aesthetic results onscreen. In Malaysia, a stack of instax Wide Brushed Metallics costs RM50.
