The new Galaxy M62 is the latest midrange workhorse phone from Samsung that blends one of the largest batteries that we’ve seen shoved into a phone along with a raft of very respectable hardware. It typically costs RM1,999 but for one day only on Lazada, you can get it for RM1,599.
The Samsung Galaxy M62 is a midrange workhorse phone that comes with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. Grognards may snuff at the 60Hz but it’s only until recently that refresh rates have become all the rage and Samsung’s Super AMOLED panels remain one of the best for colour rendition and brightness in the market.
What runs under the hood is certainly something of a pleasant surprise as the Galaxy M62 packs an Exynos 9825 octacore processor – the very same one running on the Galaxy Note10+ flagship phablet that was released recently. Paired with this is 8GB RAM and 256 GB of onboard storage expandable via a microSD card slot; a feature that’s somewhat of a rarity these days on flagship phones.
The rear consists of a quad camera array centered around a 64MP F/1.8 camera, a 12MP F/2.2 ultra wide angle camera, a 5MP F/2.4 depth sensor and a 5MP F/2.4 macro camera. All this allows the Galaxy M62 to snag up to 4K UHD video. The front hosts a 32MP F/2.2 selfie camera. Keeping it powered is an impressive 7,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
