Galaxy s9+ and Galaxy S9 preorder for Malaysia starts today
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and its larger sibling the Galaxy S9+ are one of the world’s most anticipated phones to arrive in Malaysia. Since their recent debut on 25 February at Mobile World Congress 2018, they’ve made haste. Starting today the Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy S9 preorder programme is available at all of Samsung’s authorised partners nationwide as well as at their official Samsung website.
Commencing today, you can preorder the phone starting today and the Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy S9 preorder programme will end at 11.59PM on 4 March 2018. Preorders can be picked up starting from 10.00AM on 9 March 2018 till 10.00PM 15 March 2018 and within the working hours of the designated outlet that you aim to pick it up from.
To place an order, you need to plunk down an RM300 non-refundable deposit.You can also get 0% interest free installments with preferred credit cards. To sweeten the pot, you can trade in your old phone for credit to acquire the Galaxy S9 and S9+.
Unfortunately, you can’t just plonk a value on your old faithful at will. You’ll have to bring your device and make sure it’s unlocked, undamaged and in working order to a Samsung authorised retailer or dealer with the value of the trade-in determined based on a grading list by Ingram Micro Malaysia Sdn Bhd. You can check out the full list of accepted phones for trade-in here which runs the gamut from Apple iPhones to older Samsung smartphones.
For Malaysia, The Galaxy S9 and S9+ will retail at the following prices and in your choice of three different colours – Coral Blue, Lilac Purple and Midnight Black though the Galaxy S9+ with 256GB storage will only come in Midnight Black :

All preorders,including those from authorised partners will bundle in a free Harman Kardon Onyx mini speaker worth RM699 in your choice of either black or white.
The new Galaxy S9 and S9+ come with impressive next generation hardware including brilliantly crisp Super AMOLED displays, IP68 water resistance, stereo speakers and a rear 12-MP camera that can mechanically and automatically change their aperture from f/1.5 to f/2.4 for optimum performance even under low light conditions on top of ultra 960fps slow-mo video. The Galaxy S9+ ups the ante with a second camera paired to the first with a telephoto lens and optical image stabilisation.
