The multitasking power packed Galaxy Z Fold 2 foldable is now RM1,000 cheaper
Samsung has repriced the Galaxy Z Fold 2 foldable in Malaysia down by RM1,000, altering its once eye-watering price tag to a still princely but more affordable RM6,999.
When it launched last year, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 was literally the most powerful, most unique phone in Samsung’s inventory. Now in 2021, it remains one of best foldables in the market though it cost an eye watering RM7,999.
At RM6,999, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 still remains one of the priciest phones in the market but you’re getting your hands on what is essentially a combination of a phone and a foldable tablet in one super compact form factor; something its competitors have yet to master or mass produce in sufficient quality to match.
What is the Galaxy Z Fold 2?
To refresh your memory, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a large outer 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED Cover display and a larger, crisper 7.6-inch QXGA+ foldable inner main display that also has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
Keeping it powered is a Snapdragon 865+ processor paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage with a single nano SIM and eSIM support.
The rear camera is a triple camera setup with a 12MP ultra wide angle camera, a 12MP primary camera with Dual Pixel tech and OIS and a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x zoom and up to 10x digital zoom that’s also optically stabilised.
The front cover display and selfie camera both consist of a single 10MP sensor. Keeping it running is a 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging support.
To new reprice is for the indefinite future and available at all authorised retailers and their official online store in Malaysia. If the new repriced Galaxy Z Fold 2 is still a bit too rich for your blood, you can still check out its smaller sibling the Galaxy Z Flip that has also been repriced down to RM3,999.
