HONOR 20 Pro with dual OIS quad camera landing in Malaysia at RM2,299
HONOR’s most powerful phone yet will be making an official appearance in Malaysia after its debut in London earlier this year. The HONOR 20 Pro is easily the most powerful flagship the brand has ever made and notably comes with a rear quad camera array that includes optical image stabilisation along with the latest Kirin 980 processor for RM2,299.
The HONOR 20 Pro will be officially on sale in Malaysia from 15 August onwards and will bundle in RM500 worth of free goodies that include a pair of HONOR FlyPods Lite wireless earbuds and an HONOR Band 3 fitness tracker if you buy it online at their www.hihonor.com website or on online retail partner Shopee. If you acquire it at an HONOR Experience store or partner store, you’ll get a mini HONOR Bluetooth speaker, an HONOR selfie stick and a set of premium roll-on luggage thrown in with your purchase.
In terms of form factor and hardware, the HONOR 20 Pro is aesthetically similar to the HONOR 20 but ups the hardware by several notches. You get a 6.26-inch FHD+ LCD with a punch hole up front and Android Pie 9.0 running on a Kirin 980 7nm octacore processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
The rear consists of a quad camera array which has a 48-MP F/1.4 camera with OIS, a secondary 8-MP with 3x optical zoom and OIS, a 16-MP ultrawide angle camera and a 2-MP macro camera for close-up shots. The front sports a 32-MP F/2.0 selfie camera. Keeping it powered is a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging.
At RM2,299, it may just be one of the cheapest phones with OIS for its rear cameras to ensure crisp, judder-free shots. In Malaysia, you can acquire the HONOR 20 Pro in your choice of either a shade of Phantom Black which looks like a deep shade of metallic purple or Phantom Blue which seems to appear like a deep metallic shade of malachite.
