HONOR 9A announced with 5,000mAh battery priced at €149
In a live stream event, HONOR has just announced the launch of their latest affordable budget phone the HONOR 9A that will come with a huge 5,000mAh battery with a price tag of €149 which is about RM721.63 give or take some pocket change.
The HONOR 9A comes with a 6.3-inch FullView display with 1,600 x 720 pixel resolution and a small punch hole up to for a 8MP selfie camera. Under the hood, the HONOR 9A runs Huawei’s own EMUI 10.1 and sources apps from their own AppGallery.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio MT6762R P22 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage via a triple card slot (2 SIM cards and 1 dedicated microSD card tray). In terms of connectivity, the phone has 4G LTE, WiFi 902.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.0 support.
The rear of the phone comes with a fingerprint reader and a rectangular housing for the triple camera array that combines a 13MP F/1.8 primary camera with a 5MP F/2.2 ultra wide angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Keeping it charged is a huge 5,000mAh battery via a now quaint microUSB port.
HONOR 9A price
In Malaysia, the HONOR 9A will come in either Phantom Blue or Midnight Black, based on their official local website though local pricing details have not been stated yet though they should be somewhere within the official price of €149 Euros (RM721.63) and will have the usual slew of freebies to go with it. There’s no official launch date yet save for a broad scope of it appearing this month Malaysia being one of the countries in the first wave to receive it.
