Honor Magic V5 launched in Malaysia; world’s thinnest 4.1mm thin foldable yours for RM6,999
Honor has just launched their flagship foldable, the titular Honor Magic V5 that is currently the world’s thinnest foldable at 4.1mm unfolded and 8.8mm when folded down, in Malaysia with preorders commencing from today. Here’s what you need to know about the Honor Magic V5 preorders and its preorder free gifts.

The Honor Magic V5 will be available in Ivory White, Dawn gold, Silk Brown and Black colourways with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage priced at RM6,999 with RM3,497 in free gifts that consist of the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 9 wireless speaker, a 1-year worry-free crack protection plan and a 2-year worry free quality assurance policy.
Preorders commence from today from 15 July 2025 till 24 July 2025 . The Honor Magic Pen stylus that is compatible with the front and main display is sold separately at RM499 but is available for RM249 as a purchase-with-purchase option.

What is the Honor Magic V5
To recap, the Honor Magic V5 weighs just 217g and has a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED with 2,376 x 1060 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 5,000 nits peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut while retaining stylus support and protected by their Honor Anti-scratch Nanocrystal Shield laminate that protects it from nicks and scratches. The chassis itself is also rated for IP58 and IP59 water and dust resistance.

Unfolding the display reveals a 7.95-inch LTPO OLED display with 2,352 x 2,172 pixels resolution, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, up to 5,000 nits peak brightness and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. Honor has also enhanced the main display with what they refer to as an Honor Super Armoured Inner Screen that uses a non-Newtonian fluid layer that hardens on direct impacts that enhances resistance to impacts.
The main display also supports Honor’s stylus too. Powering the phone is the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The rear hosts a triple camera array with a 50MP f/1.6 main camera with OIS, a 64MP f/2.5 telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom and a 50MP f/2.0 ultra wide angle camera that offers up to 100x zoom and 4K @60fps video. The front and main selfie cameras are inset into punch holes and feature 20MP cameras capable of selfies and 4K video. Powering the phone is a 5,820mAh silicon-carbon battery with 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
An interesting fact to note is that only the Ivory White variant is 4.1mm thin unfolded and 8.8mm folded down with the other colourways being 4.2mm thin unfolded and 9mm when folded down on account of the paintjobs. You can also check out our Honor Magic V5 first look here.
