The ultralight Honor MagicBook Art 14 revealed in China; weighs just 1KG with up to Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU
Honor has just revealed their latest addition to their MagicBook laptop series that aims to be their lightest, slimmest ultraportable ever made. Dubbed the Honor MagicBook Art 14, the new laptop uses aerospace grade aluminium and shaves the weight down to just 1.03 kg while being just 1CM thick.
Belying its slim dimensions, the Honor MagicBook Art 14 comes with a 14-inch OLED touch display with 3.1K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 700 nits and, surprisingly, features 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut which makes the laptop ideal for content creators.
Of note is that the OLED display on the Honor MagicBook Art 14 is the world’s first laptop to have 4,320Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming technology which helps to minimise eye strain and screen flickering especially when working for extended periods of time staring at the display.
Interestingly, the design doesn’t have an integrated webcam and is instead a detachable model that magnetically latches on to the top with a set of pogo connector pins.
Under the hood, the Honor MagicBook Art 14 comes with either an Intel Core Ultra 5 or Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU with up to 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD as well as Intel Arc integrated graphics. Keeping the whole affair cool are a pair of underside cooling fans with the whole affair powered by a 60Wh battery rated for up to 9.5 hours of usage on a single charge.
