Honor of Malaysia Award recipients recognised in inaugural Honor Malaysia 5th Anniversary night

Honor has grown from strength to strength after landing on Malaysia’s shores five years ago and has become one of the most popular smartphone brands in Malaysia. To commemorate the occasion, the brand hosted a Honor Malaysia 5th Anniversary gala night where they honoured outstanding champions of the brand.

Visitors were also able to admire a curated showcase of Honor Malaysia’s most memorable events over their history as well as an exhibition hall that demonstrated the imaging capabilities of their most powerful flagship phones that blend cutting edge hardware and AI to create unforgettable shareworthy images for the ages.

Honor Malaysia 5th Anniversary Highlights

The Honor Malaysia 5th Anniversary Gala kicked off with meaningful speeches by Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital, Teo Nie Ching, and President of HONOR South Pacific, Justin Li. 

The Honor Malaysia 5th Anniversary Award event then saw a host of recipients across eight categories that include a Super Supporter Award, a Tough Love Award, a Tech Consultant King Award, a Future Star Award, a Beta Excellence Award, the Next Talent Award and the Photographer of the Year award.

Taking pride of place was the Honor of Malaysia Awards, a long-term corporate social responsibility initiative that recognises ordinary Malaysians who have devoted their lives to serving society.

As part of the inaugural programme, Honor recognised the first recipients of the ‘Honor of Malaysia Award’ – Mohd Adli Yahya, Cikgu Prakash, and Mak Jah. The awards were presented by Dato’ Abdul Majid Ahmad Khan, former Ambassador of Malaysia to China (1998 to 2006).

President of Honor South Pacific, Justin Li noted that the journey was challenging but successful because the brand remained consumer centric. It feels as though HONOR has achieved a decade’s worth of progress in just five years. “Today, it is rewarding to see HONOR become the ‘Pilihan Utama Rakyat Malaysia’. We are deeply grateful to the dedicated community that has stood by us, sharing our products and philosophy with steadfast loyalty,” adds Li.
