honor teases new phone with Fullview display and upcoming 11 November promotion sales

In a press call, honor Malaysia shared the latest updates about the brand and teased about a new device that will arrive before the end of the year as well as an upcoming promotion on their online product portal vmall.my

During the briefing, Zhao Zhi Wei, Head of Honor Malaysia shared that honor Malaysia’s flagship honor 8 Pro smartphone that was lauhnced in July was ranked as one of the top three Android smartphones in terms of sales within the RM1,500 to RM2,000 category based on accredited third party surveys.

On that note, Zhao Zhi Wei also shared that the honor 8 Pro’s close association with online MOBA game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, where the phone is the official device for the game, has borne fruit. The honor 8 Pro has received a unique High Frame Rate mode on the game that is specific to the phone that runs the game at a silky smooth 60fps. The honor 8 Pro will also see it enjoying a tie up to another game later on this year via a teaser image which was revealed later as Final Fantasy Awakening.

Zhao also took the opportunity to recap the lunch of the honor 6A Pro which is their latest offering for the entry level market. For RM699, the phone comes with a 5-inch HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon  MSM8937 chipset running Android 7.0 with their latest EMUI 5.1 user interface, 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.

The phone also sports a 3,020 mAh battery with a 13-MP rear camera and a 5-MP front camera as well as a fingerprint reader. It ships in either grey or gold in Malaysia.

Before the conclusion of the proceedings, Zhao also teased the upcoming launch of an honor device which will have an 18:9 aspect ratio FullView display and an enigmatic #IOOI hashtag. Also teased is the upcoming 11.11 Promotion on vmall.my that will commence on 11 November at midnight and continue for the next five days with a daily array of offers and promotions.
