Upgraded Honor X9b 512GB storage yours for RM1,699
When Honor released their titular X9b phone last year, it proved to be a surprising hit not only because of its exceptional battery life but also because of the fact that it was absurdly tough with a nigh shatterproof display. This time around, they’ve beefed up the storage while keeping everything that made it popular for a modest price bump. Dubbed the Honor X9b 512GB, the new variant is now available in Malaysia for RM1,699.
When launched last year, the Honor X9b with 256GB storage retailed for RM1,499. The new Honor X9b 512GB is effectively identically safe for doubling the storage for an RM200 price increase. To sweeten the pot, Honor is also throwing in RM759 in free gifts that consist of a free pair of Honor Choice Earbuds X5 and a 365-day front and back crack replacement policy.

Much like its predecessor, the display has been reinforced with a special silicon carbide layer that mitigates impacts while the internal chassis has been reinforced with shock absorbers to allow it to survive drops up to 1.5 metres to the ground and also enjoy an IP53 splashproof rating.
The rest of the hardware for the Honor X9b 512GB is identical with a 6.78-inch AMOLED curve display with 1,200 nits peak brightness, 1,920Hz PWM dimming and a 120hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor running Android 13 with MagicOS 7.2 under the hood paired with 12GB RAM and the aforementioned 512GB of onboard storage.
The rear consists of a 108MP F/1.7 main camera paired with a 5MP F/2.2 ultra wide angle camera and a 2MP F/2.4 macro camera while selfies are tackled by a 16MP selfie snapper. Powering the phone is a 5,800mAh battery with 35W fast charging that offers up to 3 days of battery life for normal usage.
In Malaysia, the Honor X9b 512GB is available with a faux orange backplate or in a mirrored black finish and is now available nationwide with the aforementioned RM759 in free gifts at the Honor online store, authorised dealers and telco partners too.
