Honor X9d 5G tough phone to launch this 24 September
Honor has officially unveiled their successor to last year’s Honor X9c tough phone that is dubbed the Honor X9d 5G which features improved resistance to impacts and overall improved durability against heat, surface scratches, drops and heat damage with the addition of an SGS Triple-Resistant Premium Performance Certification.

In a special preview, Honor Malaysia demonstrated the sheer resistance of the Honor X9d 5G to damage, subjecting the phone to a point blank shot from a staple gun, multiple hits from a nail gun, immersion in tanks of water for hours and flour as well as the ability to shrug off a direct hit from a plasma cannon.

Honor Malaysia also subjected the phone to extended sessions in a steamer with the phone emerging unscathed. To wit, Honor has certified that the Honor X9d 5G has an impressive IP69K water and heat resistance rating, making it the industry’s highest rated certifications for durability.

While exact specifications remain scarce for now, Honor has mentioned that the Honor X9d 5G does have a, 8,300mAh silicon-carbon battery which is one of the largest capacity batteries ever implemented in a smartphone short of larger tablet devices.

Beyond the demonstration and mention of its battery capacity, Honor also mentioned that the phone will officially launch on 24 September 2025. Stay tuned for updates!
