Huawei FreeBuds Studio over-ear headphones priced at RM1,199 and coming to Malaysia
Huawei is best known for their growing range of in-ear wireless solutions like their FreeBuds 3 but they’re doubling down in the audio market with the upcoming release of their over-ear Huawei FreeBuds Studio headphones that will be arriving in Malaysia this 30th October 2020.
The Huawei FreeBuds Studio are priced at RM1,199 and only come in one colour for now which is Graphite Black but bring a whole slew of tech into the proverbial picture.
The headphones feature 4-layer 40mm polymer diaphgrams with a frequency response range between 4Hz – 48kHz which is more than quite a few competing headphones. This means you’re potentially able to hear and experience more with these babies.
They’ve also added their own L2HC wireless audio codec to the mix that allows for file transfer speeds up to 960kbps from a source for a smooth listening experience with high quality Hi-Res music files though you need a Huawei smartphone of recent vintage like the newly launched Mate 40 series or the P40 series to support this codec..
On top of cushy ear cups to offer passive noise insulation, the Huawei FreeBuds Studio also have what they call Intelligent Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) baked in that offer up to 40dB of noise cancellation and which automatically adjusts to the area you’re in for a more appropriate listening experience with three modes to choose from.
Connectivity is top notch as well as Huawei has also added in the industry’s first dual Bluetooth antennas with 360-degree omnidirectional Bluetooth coverage.
In layman’s terms, this means that the headphones are smart and powerful enough to swap to the antenna with the strongest signal for an uninterrupted listening experience. They’re also able to connect to two devices at a time so you can potentially listen to content from both a tablet and a phone without any issues.
Battery life is impressive too with Huawei quoting 20 hours of usage with ANC activated and a literal full day worth of usage if ANC is off. Charging is nippy too with a 10-minute charge getting you 5 hours of usage with ANC on.
