Huawei Mate X7 flagship foldable and FreeClip 2 earbuds coming to Malaysia

After making an initial debut in China late last year, Huawei has confirmed that their flagship foldable, the Huawei Mate X7 will be available soon in Malaysia and those who are keen can place a deposit for RM80 to enjoy RM7,597 in free gifts to accompany the new Mate X7.

Huawei Mate X7 Specs 

The successor to the prior Mate X6, the Huawei Mate X7 is a book-style foldable with a front-facing 6-inch panel and an inner 8-inch main display. Both inner and outer panels use LTPO OLED screens, have 120Hz refresh rates and 1,440Hz pulse width modulation. The front display also has an additional slab of Kunlun Glass to protect it from scratches and nicks. THat’s not all, the chassis is rated for IP58 and IP59 dust, water and splash resistance too.

Running under the hood is a Kirin 9030 Pro running EMUI with 16GB RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. For imaging duties, the phone has a 50MP main camera with a changeable aperture from F/1.49 – F/4.0, a 50MP f/2.2 telephoto macro camera and a 40MP f/2.2 ultra wide angle camera with the front and the main folding display each hosting a single 8MP camera. Keeping the whole affair powered is a 5,600mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging off a Huawei SuperCharge wireless charger and reverse wireless charging.

For Malaysia, the Huawei Mate X7 comes in your choice of Nebula Red, Black and Brocade White. There’s no official price yet but customers can preorder it from their official website here and their usual Huawei Experience stores and other channels on the TikTok shop, Shopee and Lazada.

Alongside the Huawei Mate X7, Huawei also released a Royal Gold Edition colourway for their premium Huawei Watch Ultimate Design that will come with RM2,192 in free gifts for customers. 

The popular Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro also gets a special HONMA variant while the Watch GT 6 41mm will also get a new Milanese strap design in either Gold or Black with free gifts worth up to RM89.

In addition, Huawei has also announced that the FreeClip 2 wireless earbuds which have IP57 resistance, an open-ear C-bridge design and are available for preorders until 19 January 2026 and are priced at RM749 with RM109 in free gifts.
