The design and firmware is otherwise unchanged from our preview and the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design consists of a z-shaped foldable display panel that when fully unfurled reveals a massive 10.2-inch display with 3,184 x 2,232 pixels resolution that’s easily the size of a tablet.
Folded down into its two-panel configuration, you get a 7.93-inch display that’s easily larger than most, if not all foldables currently in service. When fully folded down, you get a compact 6.41-inch display that is as slim as a normal smartphone and it is only 3.6mm thin when fully unfurled, making it the world’s thinnest ever foldable smartphone. Regardless of which configuration, you get 1,440Hz PWM dimming, a 120Hz refresh and their SuperVision natural light sensing 2.0 AI HDR to ensure optimum clarity under all light conditions.
When viewed from the side, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design is 32% thinner than the Mate X3 and has hinges that use steel that is seven times stronger than that used in skyscrapers. Running under the hood for global units is Huawei’s own EMUI with apps off the Huawei AppGallery on a Kirin processor paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage.
The rear sports the Ultra Aperture XMAGE camera array culled from their Pura 70 released last year that has a 50MP ultra aperture camera with an adjustable aperture system, a 12MP macro camera and a 12MP telephoto camera with 5.5x telephoto zoom. Keeping it juiced is an ultra-slim 5,600mAh Silicon Anode battery with 66W fast charging.
What is the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2” 2025 tablet?
The Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2” 2025 is their latest premium tablet design that attempts to offer a PC-like experience in an ultra svelte and light form factor that weighs just 580g. If you include the detachable Smart Magnetic keyboard along with the M-Pencil Nearlink stylus, you barely tip the scales at 1,060g which is still lighter than most laptops.
Size and weight aside, the tablet has a 13.2-inch Flexible OLED PaperMatte display that has 2,880 x 1,820 pixels resolution, is P3 gamut compliant, has a massive 94% screen-to-body ratio and a new optical film that offers a 30% in screen clarity, a 57% improvement in anti-glare capability and 95% clearer light transmission along with the removal of 99% of interfering environmental light.
Running under the hood is their own custom chipset, a Kirin 9000W processor along with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage as well as their own EMUI firmware and apps sourced from their own Huawei AppGallery. Of note with the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2” 2025 is that its Smart Magnetic Keyboard is not only detachable but can work a short distance away from the tablet with the tablet itself featuring a magnetic kickstand so that it can be deployed in the fashion of a PC.
You can also use it like a traditional laptop with the keyboard attached or with the kickstand angled downward at about a steep 75-degree angle to use it like a virtual easel. The M-Pencil stylus also uses Nearlink technology allowing for enhanced 16,384 levels of pressure sensitivity.
What elevates the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2” 2025 to an ersatz PC experience is the fact that it comes bundled with a full suite of PC-like WPS Office which has compatibility with Microsoft Office files and lets you work on Excel spreadsheets, Word docs and PowerPoint files natively while also packing all the shortcuts, fonts and macros expected of a desktop experience.
The tablet also ships with GoPaint, their professional art app that offers a huge variety of brushes and canvas types for exceptional artistic creativity as well as their Huawei Notes app that offers a bookshelf mode and a host of tweaks to make it easier to use.
The rear comes with a dual care setup with a 13MP F/1.8 main camera and 8MP wide angle camera while the front has a single 16MP camera. Keeping it powered is a 5,000mAh battery with up to 88W wired fast charging with a compatible Huawei Super Fast charger.
What are the Huawei FreeArc wireless earbuds?
Also announced at the launch was the new Huawei FreeArc wireless earbuds that integrate a C-bridge ear hook design that clips onto the rear and just inside the ear canal. In terms of build and design, the Huawei FreeArc leverages shape-memory nickel titanium that ensures the earbuds stay in shape while the whole design is protected by skin-friendly silicone. Combined, the design has IP57 dust and splash resistance which makes it ideal for workouts outdoors.
On the acoustic front, the Huawei FreeArc employs a titanium-plated composite diaphragm for rich bass and Neodymium magnet drivers for richer detail. The earbuds also have a dual-mic layout with triple noise cancellation for crisp voice calls even when on the move or in windy locations. Controlling the earbuds is via a series of taps and swipes.
On a full charge, the Huawei FreeArc is rated for 7 hours of listening on a single charge with up to to 28 hours of endurance inclusive of the charging case while a 10-minute charge gets you 3 hours of listening time.
