Huawei MatePad 11.5 S tablet preorders kick off in Malaysia priced at RM1,799 with RM699 in free gifts
The new Huawei MatePad 11.5 S tablet for students and budding artists is now available for preorders in Malaysia priced at RM1,799 with up to RM699 in free gifts from now until 22 August 2024 with a slated street date the following day.

In terms of hardware, the Huawei MatePad 11.5 S tablet comes with an 11.5-inch HD FullView TFT LCD display which has 2,800 x 1,840 pixels resolution and a 30Hz-144Hz adaptive refresh rate flanked by a quartet of speakers that come enhanced with their Histen 9.0 algorithm for richer sound and deeper bass.
Running under the hood, the tablet comes with their own Kirin 9000WL octacore processor running their own HarmonyOS 4.2 firmware with apps sourced off the Huawei AppGallery paired with 8GB RAM and 128 GB of expandable storage. On the rear, the table comes with a single 13MP camera while the front hosts a single 8MP camera for video calls. Keeping the tablet juiced is an 8,800mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.
Where the Huawei MatePad 11.5 S excels is in its role as a portable productivity platform with Huawei Notes for note taking duties and the PC-level WPS Office suite for productivity related tasks. The tablet is also compatible with the 3rd Gen Huawei M-Pencil with Nearlink tech that enables artists to take full advantage of Huawei’s bundled GoPaint App that enables the slate to act as a digital canvas.
Astute readers will note that the Huawei MatePad 11.5 S tablet is the more affordable sibling to the MatePad 11.5 S PaperMatte edition tablet launched a few months back in Malaysia save for a glossy rather than a PaperMatte finish screen as well as less storage at a more affordable price of RM1,799; its PaperMatte equipped sibling clocks in at RM2,499.
While it costs RM1,799, Huawei is sweetening the pot for those who order it online as they’ll be throwing in a free 3rd Gen M-Pencil stylus if you buy it at the Huawei official website from now until 31 August 2024.
