New Huawei nova 14 Pro in Crystal Blue, nova 14 and nova 14i coming soon to Malaysia

Huawei has just announced that their latest phone dubbed the Huawei nova 14 Pro will be coming to Malaysia in the near future with the phone officially hitting store shelves on 11 November 2025.

Ahead of the launch, the Huawei nova 14 Pro is up for preorders starting from today (3 November) until 10 November 2025 with RM298 worth of free gifts. Huawei also announced that the Huawei nova 14 and nova 14i will also be appearing in Malaysia though specifics are scarce at the time of writing.

What is the Huawei nova 14 Pro?

The Huawei nova 14 Pro is an upper-midrange offering with a 6.78-inch OLED FHD+ resolution (2,776 x 1,224 pixels) display. The display features a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate,up  to a 300Hz touch sampling rate and up to 1,200 nits global brightness. It is also protected against misadventure as it comes with tough armoured glass that has an SGS 5 Stars Drop-resistance certification.

Running under the hood is a Kirin 8020 octacore processor running EMUI 15 with their own Huawei AppGallery to source apps that’s paired with either 512GB of storage. For added peace of mind, EMUI 15 also has an integrated Security Centre and Privacy Centre feature that allows you to manage and encrypt critical files and folders as well as check what apps are using what permissions so that you get a better picture of what’s happening on the phone.

The Huawei nova 14 Pro also features AI Gesture controls, allowing you to scroll up and down or take a screenshot with a wave of your hand. There is also an AI Messaging feature that hides notifications if someone is looking at your screen for an added measure of privacy.

In addition, the Huawei nova 14 pro also features AI Noise Cancellation that lets users enjoy clear conversations in up to 95dB noise which is effectively downtown traffic at lunch hour or a construction site.

Huawei nova 14 Pro cameras

On the rear of the Huawei nova 14 Pro, you get a rear triple camera array built around a primary 50MP RYYB camera that features an adjustable aperture that can swap from f/1.4 to f/4.0 as needed. 

Alongside the main camera is an 8MP f/2.2 ultra wide camera that can also do macro shots as well as a 12MP RYYB telephoto portrait camera that has 3X optical zoom along with optical and AI image stabilisation tech. The whole setup also supports 4K video capture and up to 30x digital zoom. The magic sauce that lets the Huawei nova 14 Pro punch above its weight class is the integration of their XD Portrait Engine for lifelike, vivid colours and enhanced portraiture. 

Up front, the Huawei nova 14 Pro has a dual camera array with a 50MP f/2.0 autofocus camera paired with an 8MP f/2.2 portrait front camera that can also capture 4K video. 

Keeping the phone powered is a 5,500mAh battery with 100W SuperCharge Turbo fast wired charging with the bundled Huawei cable and charger.

Huawei nova 14 and nova 14i specs

While official details are scarce on the Huawei nova 14 and nova 14i, both models have already debuted in China earlier this year. the Huawei nova 14 has a 6.7-inch flat-edge OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, runs on a Kirin 8000 processor, has 12GB RAM and also has 256GB storage.

The rear has a 50MP f/1.9 main camera which lacks the RYYB sensor of the Pro model that offers richer colour rendition and the variable aperture setup, a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom using an RYYB sensor and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra wide angle camera.

The front of the Huawei nova 14 has a single 50MP f/2.4 selfie camera rather than the dual front-camera setup of the Pro model. It also features stereo speakers, runs on EMUI 14.2 and has a 5,500mAH battery with 100W wired charging.

The nova 14i officially has a 7.95-inch FHD+ LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 680 processor running EMUI 14.2, has 8GB RAM and either 256GB storage. The rear is a more modest dual camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor while the front has a single 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera. It does have one advantage though in that it has a far larger battery than its standard and Pro peers with a 7,000mAh battery shoehorned into the chassis.

Huawei nova 14 Pro price in Malaysia

In Malaysia, the Huawei nova 14 Pro will be available in your choice of black, white and their signature Crystal Blue colourway that resembles frosted shards of light blue ice all across the backplate. 

At present, the Huawei nova 14 Pro with 512GB storage will be priced at  RM2,399. Theu Huawei nova 14 wwith 256GB storage is priced at RM1,799 and the nova 14i with 256GB storage is priced at RM1,299.
