Huawei P50 Pro preorder live in Malaysia with RM2,100 in free gifts and price of RM4,199

In a gala event, Huawei launched their latest flagship in Malaysia, the P50 Pro smartphone that will come priced at RM4,199 with a preorder programme going live on 12th January that will offer up to RM2,100 in free gifts. Also launched alongside the P50 Pro is their latest foldable, the Huawei P50 Pocket which will be priced from RM5,999 with two variants and free gifts worth up to RM2,700. Huawei P50 Pro preorder programme free gifts for Malaysia

Huawei Malaysia will be offering the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant of the P50 Pro that will be available in your choice of two colourways – Cocoa Gold and Golden Black priced at RM4,199. The preorder will commence today from 12th January 2022 and the P50 Pro will arrive in store shelves on 22nd January 2022.

If you preorder the P50 Pro, you’ll get RM2,100 in free gifts that include a Huawei Watch GT2 Pro with a Nebula Grey Strap that is worth RM1,299 along with RM800 or so in free vouchers and services. You get up to RM244 in free services from Huawei Mobile services including a full 1-time screen replacement within the first 3-months of purchase, a 1-month signup to Huawei Video plus VIP service and more.

The other perk is RM600 in vouchers that include a free drink from Zus Coffee and Tealive as well as vouchers from Traveloka, BOOST, Socar, Trevo and more. You can check out the complete list of freebies on their preorder page.

To recap, the Huawei P50 Pro is their mainstream flagship phone which has a 6.6-inch OLED display with 2,700 x 1,228 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 888 chip with a 4GB modem running their EMUI OS, 8GB RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage for Malaysia. Keeping it powered is a 4,360mAh battery with 66W fast charging and 50W fast wireless charging support and the phone does ship with a free 66W charger. 

The rear comes with their True-Chroma camera solution which combines a primary 50MP with OIS and laser autofocus, a 64MP telephoto camera with 3.5x zoom and ois with up to 100x digital zoom, a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 40MP mono camera. Other mod-cons include IP68 water and dust resistance, fast WiFi 6, an under-display fingerprint reader for biometrics and stereo speakers.

Huawei P50 Pocket preorder programme free gifts in Malaysia

In the case of the P50 Pocket, you’re able to acquire it in the standard white finish which has 8GB RAM/256GB of storage for RM5,999 and the more powerful and premium P50 Pocket Premium Edition which comes in a shinier shade of gold with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage that retails for RM7,299. 

Preordering either variant of the P50 Pro will come with RM2,700 in free gifts that include a Huawei Watch 3 with a black fluoroelastomer strap worth RM1,699, up to RM434 in free services from Huawei Mobile Services that include an additional 1-year of extended warranty worth RM309 and up to RM600 in free vouchers from a host of beverage and service providers. Preorders for the Huawei P50 Pocket commence from 22nd January 2022 and will be available in retail from 22nd February 2022 onwards.

The P50 Pocket is Huawei’s first foldable phone available in Malaysia and has a rounded 1.04-inch OLED display on the front for notifications and an unfoldable 6.9-inch OLED 120Hz display. Under the hood, it runs on a Snapdragon 888 processor with a 4G modem and their own EMUI. 

Storage and RAM options vary slightly for Malaysia with the mainline 8GB RAM /256GB storage variant and higher end Premium with 12GB RAM / 512GB storage versions available.

The camera setup is a bit different for the P50 Pocket from the P50 Pro with a 40MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide and a 32MP camera while selfie duties are taken care of by a 10.7MP camera embedded in a punchhole on top of the display. Keeping it powered is a 4,000mAh battery with 40W fast charging and 5W reverse charging

It also has IP68 water resistance and fast WIFi 6 though the P50 Pocket’s speakers are limited to mono so far and opts for a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Huawei P50 Pocket and P50 Pro preorder locations in Malaysia

Both the P50 Pro and P50 Pocket will be available for preorder in staggered waves with the P50 Pro available first for preorder starting today from 12th January 2022 for RM4,199 with RM2,100 in free gifts. 

The P50 Pocket will be available in a standard 8GB RAM/256GB white edition for RM5,999 and a more premium P50 Pocket Premium Edition with 12GB RAM/256GB for RM7,299 from 22nd January onwards with the aforementioned RM2,700 in free gifts.
