Huawei teases imminent arrival of P20 Pro Twilight
Several hours ago, Huawei Malaysia posted on their Facebook an enigmatic image of a silhouette of the Huawei P20 Pro set amidst an artistic representation of the aurora borealis along with two words – “It’s Time”. In all likelihood, this shot infers that the P20 Pro Twilight is on the way to Malaysia.
At launch, Huawei Malaysia showcased the P20 and P20 Pro in three colours – blue, black and an iridescent Pink Gold finish. The elusive Twilight finish was mentioned to be coming soon for the P20 Pro though they demurred on saying when. If the Facebook post is an indication, this particular colour variant may possibly come within several weeks if not days from now.
We managed to get our hands on a sample of the P20 Pro in Twilight earlier on to get a firsthand look at what made it so special. Functionally, it’s identical to the other P20 Pro phones in terms of the hardware under the hood. You’re looking at a large 6.1-inch OLED display, 6GB RAM, 128GB of non-expandable storage, a rear triple-camera array and a front 24-MP selfie camera.
Where it differs is the unique gradient finish on the backplate that changes colour depending on how you angle it towards the light. It starts off as a light purple at the edges before graduating to a metallic blue, which makes for quite an eye catching sight indeed. There’s no indication if the P20 Pro Twilight will cost more or when it will arrive though odds are it will be fairly soon. We’ll keep you filled in on the details as the situation develops.
