Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition smartwatch coming to Malaysia priced at just RM279 on preorder

If you’re looking for a relatively affordable fitness tracking smartwatch that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, you’ll fit the newly launched Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition right up your alley as it’s cheerfully cheap while offering a wealth of fitness and activity tracking functionality.

While it typically costs RM399 at retail, Huawei is offering a special preorder programme that lets you buy it for just RM279 if you preorder it starting from today until 7th August 2023 on the Huawei Official Store on Shopee and Huawei Flagship Store on Lazada.

What is the Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition?

The Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition has a large squarish 1.64-inch HD AMOLED display that has 456 x 280 pixels resolution and a crisp 326 ppi with a choice of 10,000 selectable watch faces to choose from to fit almost any whim or fancy. The straps have been optimised for comfort and are made of soft silicone while the watch itself has the weight shaved down to just 34g including the straps.

On paper, the Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition offers 6- 9 days of battery life on a single charge depending on usage and offers a surprisingly comprehensive battery of activity and fitness tracking functionality. On top of constant heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring as well as sleep tracking, the watch offers over 100 workout modes including more popular ones of late like soccer and basketball. It also features Huawei’s unique TruSport algorithm that can assess a user’s level of fitness and suggest appropriate running workouts.

Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition price in Malaysia

In Malaysia, the Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition is available in your choice of three colourways with matching straps which are Starry Black, Nebula Pink and Forest Green. And the aforementioned special RM279 preorder price is only valid if you preorder before 8th August 2023.  Buying it on or after this 8th August 2023 means you have to fork out for it at its full RM399 retail price. 

Huawei does sweeten the pot by offering a free additional year of extended warranty at 40% on purchase of the Huawei Watch Fit Special Edition if you purchase it on or after 8th August 2023 though.
