Huawei XMAGE Zoom into Malaysia photography contest invites entries from Malaysians; huge prizes up for grabs

In a briefing to invited guests, Huawei Malaysia shared a collection of Malaysian short films by renowned film producer Keoh Chee Ang, Muzzamer Rahman and Ariff Zulkarnain created with the Huawei P60 Pro, their leading flagship smartphone that is now available nationwide in Malaysia.

In addition to a showcase of short films created with the P60 Pro, Huawei also announced the launch of their Huawei XMAGE Zoom into Malaysia photography contest where winners stand to win the flagship P60 Pro, Watch Fit and FreeBuds 5. For those looking to take it to the global stage, contestants are invited to participate in the Global XMAGE Awards 2023 with a prize of US$10,000 up for grabs. Huawei XMAGE Zoom into Malaysia competition

For the Huawei XMAGE: Zoom into Malaysia photography competition, contestants are invited to submit entries in eight categories which consist of – Night Walk, Outdoor, Portrait, Art & Fashion, Hello Life, Storyboard, Action and Storytelling. The entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts that include independent photographer Abeden Mung and local director Ariff Zulkarnain

Huawei XMAGE Zoom into Malaysia contest

To participate, contestants are required to be Malaysian citizens and submit photos that fit into the aforementioned categories taken with a Huawei smartphone. The entries need to be posted on both Facebook and Instagram with the entries set to public along with @huaweimobilemy tagged and followed in the post with the hashtags #ZoomintoMalaysia, #XMAGE and #HUAWEIP60Pro. For the Global XMAGE Awards 2023, things get taken up a notch as entries and contestants are selected from across the world in multiple categories that include Night Walk, Portrait, Art & Fashion, Outdoor, Hello Life, Storyboard, Action and Storytelling.

To ensure fairness, Huawei has assembled a panel of globally lauded judges that include lauded Chinese fashion photographer Pei Tongtong, Portuguese landscape photographer Jose Ramos and Australian portrait photographer Jessica Hromas.

Submissions for the Huawei Global XMAGE Awards 2023 require a valid HUAWEI ID and entries will need to be taken with a Huawei smartphone and then submitted on the official competition website at https://consumer.huawei.com/my/community/xmage-awards/ before August 15th 2023.
