Innovative #GoGreenWithRazer initiative commits to 10 year environmental roadmap
The world’s top gaming peripheral brand is taken things to the next level. Razer has committed to a decade long environmental roadmap to protect and ensure a cleaner, greener world dubbed #GoGreenWithRazer
#GoGreenWithRazer Initiative
As part of the #GoGreenWithRazer initiative, Razer has committed to the use of 100% renewable energy by 2025, all products will use recycled or recyclable materials by 2030 and to being 100% carbon neutral by 2030. These are lofty goals indeed and Razer is rallying their enthusiastic community of gamers and fans through a host of powerful initiatives.
On top of these 10-year long environmental goals, Razer is aiming to reduce and eliminate the use of single-use plastics in all offices to reduce Greenhouse gas emissions. Where reduce and renew initiatives are not possible, Razer will restore the balance through investments in forestry and projects with significant positive environmental impact.
Razer hasn’t been idle and their European office in Hamburg, Germany is powered by renewable energy while their soon to be opened Razer SEA HQ in SIngapore will follow. According to Razer, all global offices will be powered by 100% renewable energy by 2025.
In terms of their vast array of products, Razer has committed to ensuring the use of recyclable or recycled plastics for all products by 2030 and will integrate PCR plastics, eco-friendly designs and FSC-certified, biodegradable packaging for all products moving onwards.
The aforementioned Sneki Snek merchandise has, to date, saved thousands of trees but Razer is taking things up a notch again as they have set a target of saving 1,000,000 trees.
To engage their fans, a new piece of Sneki Snek merchandise will be added for sale with every 250,000 tree mark reached with every item sold, saving 10 trees. For more on the #GoGreenWithRazer initiative, check out their official page at https://www.razer.com/go-green/green-community
