Intel Core Ultra Series 3 laptops arrive in Malaysia

Intel has announced that laptops from a variety of vendors including Asus, Acer, Dell, HP Lenovo and MSI that feature the latest Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors are now available for the Malaysia market.

For the uninitiated, the Intel Core Ultra series 3 processors, code-named Panther Lake consist of the Intel Core Ultra X9, Intel Core Ultra X7, the Intel Core Ultra 9, Ultra 7 and Ultra 5 that are intended for next-generation thin and light laptops.

Built on the latest Intel 18A process, the new Intel Core Ultra series 3 CPUs are rated for up to  27 hours of battery life based on official numbers, 60% faster CPU performance and 77% faster graphics.

Also announced is the Intel Core Series 3 that is intended for deployments in affordable laptops. On paper, have up to 47% better single thread performance, up to 41% better multi thread performance and up to 2.8X better GPU AI performance compared to a five-year old PC.

On paper, the Intel Core Series 3 supports modern connectivity including Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6 with up to 40 TOPS for AI workloads. According to Intel, laptop designs with Intel Core Series 3 processors will see deployment from April onwards.
